God’s Promises Bring Hope
16 Now when people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding17 God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. 18 So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.
19This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.”
This is the bedrock of Les Anchored.
The section in Hebrews 6 is titled “God’s Promises Bring Hope”. The finished work of Jesus, His death and resurrection and the fulfilment of century old prophesies is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. Truly. The faithfulness of God and our right sight of Him, leads us into the Holy of Holies. It is miraculous and it is a gift.
Vision & Mission
LES ANCHORED is all about the pursuit of likeness to Christ. therefore, holiness, instead of sinlessness is our pursuit the hope of Jesus is an anchor for our souls. It brings us into God’s inner sanctuary, where we want to dwell. Anchored in truth.
If Jesus died for our salvation and bought us with the price of His own life, then I would hope that we would live like it. Salvation doesn’t mean that we’re entitled to an affliction free life but are anchored by the hope that is Jesus and the finished work of the Cross. I believe that the Lord has an incredible design, idea, and plan for each one of our lives and we see evidence of this in His word.
The mission is to see our generation live with the assurance and confidence of this truth. My heart is that your faith, devotion and sight of the Lord would be stirred by what you read on Les Anchored.

What Was I Made For?

The Lord knows the days allotted to us before we’ve spoken our first words. He has also (actually miraculously) made us in His likeness to reflect something of his character to those around is.

If Esther was born for “such a time as this”, I am convinced that each of us are too. It is miraculous that God has intended to use us for his purposes.
I suppose the question is the ‘how’ and that typically leads to the question ‘what?’. What leads me to look more like Jesus day after day?
In The World, but Not of It.
The early believers were called the people of ‘The Way,’ said way referring to Christianity and the fundamental tenets of our faith. The Book of Matthew writes that the path into the Kingdom of Heaven is narrow, while the path to hell is broad. The dominant culture of the world is at complete odds with that of the Kingdom. I think that more than ever its important to discuss what it can look like to walk the Narrow Way without being blind and indifferent to those who aren’t.
Matthew 10:16 reads “Behold I am sending you out like sheep amongst wolves; therefore, be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.”

Oh, I Love Being A Woman!
In my own life and walk with the Lord I’ve wrestled with what the Lord’s heart and design for women is. The world around me certainly wasn’t helpful. This is the amalgamation of my thoughts of The Lord’s heart, His word and the absolute freedom that it has brought.
There are a whole lot of opinions about what a woman should look like and after having gone through the motions (still am). It’s fair to say that there are standards and truths to uphold and lines to draw in the sand.
