hello! I’m Khensi

My full name is Khensani, (I get called that about once every two weeks). My name means to be thankful or to give thanks and let me tell you I am thankful that YOU are here. I am radically in love with the One who saved my life. It’s wild that the King of Glory is also the lover of my soul. It is miraculous. In short, I have tasted and seen of the Lord’s goodness, and I can’t not tell it.
All around me I see a generation wanting to discover the truth. You know, what is a noble pursuit? I happen to know His name, only because He’s shown me His face. So, if I can share the glimpses of what I’ve seen and what He’s done- I absolutely will.
There is a whole lot that I could tell you about myself but for now I’ll tell you how and why Les Anchored is. Firstly, I would’ve called the blog ‘The Anchored’, but the name was taken. So naturally, my minimal francophone exposure landed me with the name I have today.
Secondly is how LA came about; it was all Jesus. I hear the Lord speak plenty but never in a way I would describe as audible, with the exception of this night of course. I was 14, in the final quarter of my grade 8 year, in my 4-man hostel dorm room. I woke up in the middle of the night (very rare occurrence) and I knew that I knew that the Lord had told me to start a blog. Fascinating because I didn’t even know what a blog was. Seven years later, the time is right and its happening.
And let me tell you I am thrilled!

As it turns out, the Lord knows what He’s doing (surprise) because I love to engage with people and am particularly passionate about the themes I’ll be writing about. There is Good News for us and right sight of it has and will continue to change us. You are the friends that I will tell. Job 42:5 says “I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen You with my own eyes.” My hope is that if only a little bit, whatever you read, will cause you to taste and see that He is good.
I also happen to really enjoy writing. I hope you enjoy reading; it’d be profoundly awkward if you didn’t.
Otherwise, you should know that speaking in a concise manner has never been my forte, I could make conversation with a wall and I’m pretty inclined to sing if I know a song related to what I’m saying. Best believe I was singing “O taste and see” when I wrote that last paragraph.
Anyway, if you’ve read this far (it should’ve taken a whopping two minutes). I’m glad that you’ve stuck around!
